Thoughts about the False Gospel

Reading about the “immoral woman” in Proverbs 5 this morning, and thinking of how she represents the false gospel and the preachers of it. Their words are always enticing… “you will have lots of money, everyone will honor you, you’ll always be healed, you will have peace and safety, and you can sin as much as you want and God will forgive you”.  She will be beautiful, alluring, confident, she will offer benefits, her words will be very pleasing, but we cannot consent. The way of the cross, the constrained and narrow way, the path of persecution and tribulation is the path of life and salvation. Do not go near her house!

Proverbs 5:3-5 NKJV

Proverbs 5:11-12 NKJV
And you mourn at last, When your flesh and your body are consumed, [12] And say: “How I have hated instruction, And my heart despised correction!

Revelation 17:4 NKJV
The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
